Twilighters Dream Birthday Challenge

In celebration of my birthday on Friday, May 6th and Rob's Birthday on Friday, May 13th, I've decided to make the Twilighters Dream Challenge a little more fun by turning it into a game with winners and prizes!

Here are the details of the challenge should you choose to accept it:

We all have a little bit of Twilight in our neck of the woods whether we notice it or not. I challenge you to find those special places and take a picture. It can be anything from a street name, a place, person, car... ANYTHING that reminds you of Twilight. Remember the more original the "treasure" you find the better chance to win!

Here are some examples that I have found near me.

Once you take the picture email it to me at twilightersdream@gmail.com

Be sure to include the following information along with your picture. Copy and Paste if it's easier to remember.

1. Your name
2. Where you live? State or Country? (so we know where these little corners are)
3. What's in the picture?
4. How does this reminds you of Twilight?
5. Which Team Are You? Team Edward or Team Jacob?

I will reply to your email when I receive it so you know that I got it. :)

The challenge will begin on Sunday, May 1st and will end on Tuesday, May 10th. This gives you 10 days to find all those little places of Twilight in your neck of the woods and email them to me by 11:59 pm EST on the 10th.

On Wednesday, May 11th, I will post all the pictures for you to vote on your favorite. The TWO US pictures and ONE International picture that get the most "likes" will WIN. That's right we will have three winners! Voting will be open for at least 48 hours so ALL our friends will get a chance to vote for their favorites. Voting ends at 11:00 am EST on the 13th.

The winners will be announced on Friday, May 13th! That's Rob's Birthday! :)

Don't forget to email your photo(s) and the five questions listed above to twilightersdream@gmail.com. Please don't post them on the Facebook page. Thanks!

You may submit more than one photo but you cannot be the winner of both prizes. This way its fair and fun for all. :)

HAVE FUN and HAPPY HUNTING!

*Prizes have been announced!
There will be one US Team Edward, one US Team Jacob & one International Winner!*

Always dreaming and planning...

Recently I've been doing some planning and dreaming up some ideas for my Breaking Dawn Party. I've already chosen a THEME which I'm not ready to announce JUST yet but I have to say I am VERY excited about it. I think it's very fitting for Breaking Dawn and I can't wait to tell you....

Since I already have a theme in mind, I've been doing some shopping to help me come up with some ideas for the decorations, favors, etc. Last week I created the Save the Date for the party and last night I found some glitter hair and body spray which will be perfect to make us all SPARKLE like vampires!

Today I did a little shopping like Alice!. :) I am going to a Royal Wedding Viewing Party on Friday and we're supposed to wear a big hat. Since I do not have a hat naturally I had to go shopping for one. While I was looking for a hat I got distracted and some how ended up in the dress section. I am sooooo glad that I did because I found a dress that had me smiling from ear to ear! I almost died when I saw it.

I found the absolute PERFECT dress to wear to the Breaking Dawn Party! I couldn't believe it. It's absolutely perfect for my theme and everything that I have......oops I'm saying too much. ;) I almost don't want to show it but I am just sooooo excited that I have too. LOL

Not only did I find the perfect dress but I found TWO! I'm not sure if I'm going to save this for my next Breaking Dawn Party in 2012....now I'm planning way too far ahead... but it was too cute and perfect not to buy it. Who knows I might wear it for my 30th Birthday in a couple weeks or to the movie premiere in November.

When I saw this dress it totally reminded me of a SEXIER version of Bella's Honeymoon Dress that Alice would pick out for her to wear.

What do you think? I love it!

I did eventually find a dress and a hat to wear to the Royal Wedding Party on Friday after all my twi-shopping! Of course what I found was also cute and twi-ish since it was black and white. I can't seem to get away from those two great colors.

It was definitely a very successful afternoon of shopping that I think Alice would be proud of. Keep checking back for updates on my plans and details on my Twilight parties.

Another piece of "Twilight in Florida"

Well today was a fun day! I found another little piece of Twilight in my neck of the woods. SUMMIT CHURCH! :) I drive past this every day but it didn't dawn on me until now the names relevance. I love finding a new spot to add. Check out all the places that I have found so far in my "Twilight in Florida" adventure.

A Twilight Adventure

I have been waiting to have a weekday off for awhile now so I could go out and do some exploring. I created this little adventure for myself called, "Twilight in Florida". Since I haven't been able to take my dream trip to Forks, Washington yet to visit the real town and all the surrounding places where the books are set and the movies are filmed, I thought it would be fun to find those little places of Twilight in my neck of the woods. Finally I had the day off this week so I could go on my little adventure.

I had a few places in mind already but I was excited to see what others I could find. I loaded up the car with a fully charged camera battery, my list and a few friends. ;) I also had my dog, Dakota, with me because he was going to the groomer while I was exploring. He is soooo Team Jacob. He's my little wolf!

Dakota on the way to the Groomer

The adventure started off right away with a little drama as soon as we left the driveway. Dakota must not have liked the fact that Edward was in the car because he immediately jumped from the front seat to the back seat! He was right on top of Edward and his over grown nails/claws scratched poor Edward. Ahh! I know! Needless to say I was NOT happy to see him damaged. I felt like Edward when he said to Jacob, "If you ever bring her back damaged again, I don't care whose fault it is...." What a way to start the adventure...with a fight scene! LOL

Note the scratches on Edwards chest :(

After dropping Dakota off at the groomer I was in my twi-glory and the adventure continued. I made my first stop and was a little nervous to get out with my friend, Jacob. There was a lot of activity around and school was letting out so there were buses full of kids everywhere. I said 'screw it' and embraced my twi-hood and confidently stood on the street corner with my camera and Jacob. HAHA That sounds funny!

I successfully got my picture with Jacob at Taylor (Lautner) Lane. I was so excited and couldn't wait to capture all the little places of Twilight around me. Next stop, Bella Court.

Bella Court is this little road next to Walmart that is only one block in length. Taylor Lane was easier because it isn't a very active street so I could easily get out with Jacob for the picture. As soon as I turned down Bella Court, "Chief Swan" was on the side of the road. Ahh! I said abort mission and come back later.

As I made my way to the next stop, I drove around the back roads to see if there was anything to discover. It didn't take long at all to find several streets that I didn't know existed or had never noticed before and made the connection.

I can't tell you how excited I was each time that I found one. I would squeal and pull immediately...well safely... pull over to the side of the road and hop out for a picture of two. I won't spoil all the little treasure that I found so you can have fun looking at the pictures on my Twilighters Dream page.

Dakota after the Groomer :)

The adventure was a HUGE success and I had a LOT of fun. It was even great to have some "friends" along for the ride.

Unfortunately I will have to get a new Edward before the Breaking Dawn Party as he was injured while out on location. LOL I guess Dakota did a good number on him not only with the scratches but he must have "worn" him down. While I was taking pictures at one stop he broke in half. I know! It was horrible! But it's also kind of funny thinking about it now because it adds to my adventure.

Edward can now easily sit down. He's not so stiff! lol

Hop on over to my facebook page to check out all the great places I found. Don't forget to follow along with me as I continue on my quest to find "Twilight in Florida!"
